car rental companies
April 29, 2008 by aim168realestateThere are many car rental companies in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), and several of them have branches in the different cities (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah). A number of these car rentals companies have offices in the Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah Airports. As the Dubai International Airport is the largest airport in the UAE, with daily flights from all over the world, it hosts the largest amount of rent a cars and hotel reservation offices.Car hire companies in the UAE can be classified into two categories, which directly relate to the security deposit left when renting a car. Category 1 or credit card deposit rent a car companies require that you present a valid credit card on collection of the car, which is either imprinted/photocopied or blocked/reserved for a given amount. Category 2 or passport deposit rent a car companies require that a passport is left as a deposit, and the passport holder must sign the car rentals form. The majority of rent a car companies in the UAE are shifting to the credit card deposit security system, as it is the worldwide method of car renting.

Most car rental companies require that the driver be over the age of 21 and has driven for over a year. They also require that the driver’s license be a valid UAE, GCC, or International drivers’ license. Some companies also charge additional fees for driver’s who are under the age of 25. Most companies will also require that you submit the following documents – passport photocopy and driver’s license photocopy.
Heaven in a desert…..Dubai
April 29, 2008 by aim168realestateYes, as written above, I can correctly say that Dubai is definitely heaven in a desert.I had visited Dubai in the end of January ’06 with my three other friends. To begin with, I would definitely recommend either friends or couples to take the trip to Dubai. Going with family is a no-no. Also one must check out the Dubai airport and not land at Sharjah airport even if getting a cheaper airfare. People might recommend that but I would not because getting from Sharjah airport to Dubai city would cost you the same as landing at Dubai. Plus Dubai airport is a mordern architecture marvle and the Dubai duty free is not to miss. Travelling by Emirates Airlines would give you an exquisite feel and mind blowing services, thus thats a sincere suggestion.
Dubai is a shopping paradise. The right places to shop in Dubai are malls, namely THE CITY CENTRE, THE BURJUMAN SHOPPING CENTRE, EMIRATES SHOPPING CENTRE and so on. Also a good super store from where one can buy cosmetics, gift article, toiletries, travel assesories or hookas is the CARREFOUR super store.

suit every budget
April 29, 2008 by aim168realestateDubai has lots of hotels for every style and budget. Hotel towers are all over the city, and beach resorts are clustered along the southern coast toward Jumeirah and Jebel Ali. Availability can be limited during the Dubai Shopping Festival (mid-January to mid-February), the Rugby Sevens (late November), the Desert Classic golf tournament (early March) and the Dubai World Cup (late March), so book your room far in advance if you plan to visit during those times. Hotel rates vary a great deal but generally are high. The big chains (such as Hyatt, Marriott, Sheraton) do give rates in U.S. dollars; expect to pay American-city rates for these international hotels. However, there are other hotels to suit every budget. Peak season is generally during winter months, November-May, and off peak in summer, June-October. Do book in advance as Dubai has become a very popular destination in recent years.
