Dubai has lots of hotels for every style and budget. Hotel towers are all over the city, and beach resorts are clustered along the southern coast toward Jumeirah and Jebel Ali. Availability can be limited during the Dubai Shopping Festival (mid-January to mid-February), the Rugby Sevens (late November), the Desert Classic golf tournament (early March) and the Dubai World Cup (late March), so book your room far in advance if you plan to visit during those times. Hotel rates vary a great deal but generally are high. The big chains (such as Hyatt, Marriott, Sheraton) do give rates in U.S. dollars; expect to pay American-city rates for these international hotels. However, there are other hotels to suit every budget. Peak season is generally during winter months, November-May, and off peak in summer, June-October. Do book in advance as Dubai has become a very popular destination in recent years.
